Temporary Vacant Seat Transport Scheme 2020/21

Please be aware that information and on-line application forms for the Temporary Vacant Seat Transport Scheme for the academic year 2020/21 will be available for completion on Staffordshire County Council’s website from 7:30 am on Monday 4 May 2020.

The number of seats for this scheme are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis. There is no guarantee that a seat will be available under the scheme, nor is it a statutory requirement to offer a seat. Should a seat not be available then the parent/guardian remains responsible for arranging and funding travel as they feel necessary. Please be aware that due to the Coronavirus pandemic there may be fewer seats available to accommodate the requirement for social distancing on transport.

Please note that vacant seat charges will be reintroduced at a future date, at which time parents will be given sufficient notice and provided with payment options. Until this time seats will remain free of charge for the foreseeable future.
